Message from the Fire Chief
Chief’s Message
Thank you for visiting the City of Fort Myers Fire Department website and for your interest in this amazing Fire Department and the diverse community we serve. I hope you find this website helpful, informative, and a valuable resource. Our fire department has over 120 years of protecting life and property, guided by our strong tradition and sense of pride that continues to drive our staff members towards excellence in honing the craft of firefighting and rescue services.
Our Fire Department serves our city residents, business owners and visitors within a 50-square-mile area, providing critical fire suppression, advanced life support, marine emergency services and emergency management. In addition, FMFD is the Region 6 lead response team for hazardous materials incidents within Lee County and neighboring counties.
I'm proud to know the City of Fort Myers Fire Department exceeds the expectations of residents, city stewards, business owners, and visitors. Our firefighting staff stands every day on the tenets of "Humility, Humanity, and Heroism, unified around the values of respect, commitment, compassion, and integrity.
Please feel free to contact me or executive team with any questions, concerns, or suggestions.
