Tracy McMillion is a dynamic and visionary leader who has proudly served as Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director for the City of Fort Myers since 2019. His distinguished public service journey began in 1995 with the Florida Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer before joining the City of Fort Myers Fire Department in 1996 as a firefighter.

In 2003, Tracy took the next step in his career by joining the Iona McGregor Fire District, where his dedication, skill, and passion for professional growth propelled him through the ranks of Division Chief of Training and Emergency Medical Services. During this time, he also shared his expertise as an adjunct professor in Fire Service and Emergency Medical Services, mentoring the next generation of first responders. Widely regarded as “The People’s Chief,” Tracy is celebrated for his authentic leadership style and his unwavering commitment to community engagement. He leads with humility, heart, and a genuine passion for service, always striving to uplift others through positivity and excellence. Beyond the uniform, Tracy is a devoted family man who treasures time spent with his wife, children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends. His faith, integrity, and love for people continue to inspire those who work alongside him.
