6th Annual Cops & Joggers 5K

About the Event
  • Sept. 28, 2014
  • Centennial Park
Running from the cops never felt so good! The Fort Myers Police Department’s Cops and Joggers 5K benefits the FMPD Fallen Officer Memorial Fund. The race was first established in 2008 to assist the family of Officer Andrew Widman who was shot and killed in the line of duty on July 18, 2008.

Proceeds from the event will assist police officers and firefighters, as well as their families in the event of an illness, injury, or death. The 3.1-mile run begins and ends at Centennial Park along the river in historic downtown Fort Myers and will cross the Edison Bridge. The race is sanctioned by the Fort Myers Track Club. FMPD is always proud to have numerous community sponsors that help make the race possible. For more information, contact 239-321-7723.
